Vedanta, Hindustan Copper rally as copper prices hit 1-week high

NEW DELHI: Shares of copper miners Vedanta, Hindustan Copper jumped in Wednesday’s trade after international copper prices hit a 0ne-week high.

Copper prices traded 1.9 per cent higher in trade, adding to the 4.3 per cent rally in the previous three sessions.

Shares of Vedanta gained 6.21 per cent to hit a high of Rs 169.40 while those of Hindustan Copper climbed 6.17 per cent to Rs 67.10.

Vedanta shares are up 85 per cent so far this year. The Hindustan Copper stock has risen 14 per cent in the same period.
