Valecha Eng topline up 79 percent

Valecha Engineering Ltd recorded 79 per cent increase in sales to Rs 93.39 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared with Rs 52.14 crore in the year ago period.

MUMBAI - Valecha Engineering Ltd recorded 79 per cent increase in sales to Rs 93.39 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared with Rs 52.14 crore in the year ago period. Net profit was at Rs 3.57 crore against Rs 2.41 crore in the quarter ended June 30 2006, up 48%.

On the paid up capital of Rs 7.94 crore, the earnings per share stands at Rs 4.50 against Rs 3.49 year earlier. The board has recommended bonus shares in the ratio of 1:2.

Valecha Engineering is in the business of infrastructure projects like highways, flyovers, dams, bridges, tunnels, canals, airports, water supply, buildings, pile foundation, etc.

The company recently completed the project of four laning of Satara-Kolhapur section of NH-4,; road project of Kairana-Muaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh; road projects at Karnal-Kachhwa, Rewari-Loharu and Hissar road in Haryana.

The company’s order book position is close to Rs 1,000 crore mark, the company said. END
