NEW DELHI: Shares of Vakrangee Ltd jumped as much as 3 per cent in early trade on Friday after the company announced its tie-up with Vasco Worldwide, an avant-garde travel service enterprise.

Shares of the company opened at Rs 490.80 and touched a high and low of Rs 501.30 and Rs 473.85, respectively.

However, it slipped in the later session of trade and settled at Rs 475.90, down 2.18 per cent on Friday.

With the partnership, Vakrangee aims to assist Indian residents who intend to travel to various countries by offering form filling support, appointment scheduling, document pre-verification and payment of visa fees wherever applicable. Travel Concierge service is introduced to help travellers enjoy an uncluttered travel experience by providing support and guidance for the requisite travel documentation.

In a statement, Vakrangee quoted, “Vakrangee has added another essential and widely used service to the basket of services that are being offered through its last-mile retail outlets called “Vakrangee Kendra”. This tie-up further expands the company’s bouquet of services available to citizens through Vakrangee Kendras. Citizens, especially in un-served and underserved areas shall now be able to avail travel concierge services through their nearest Vakrangee Kendra.”

On the BSE, 24,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 91,000 shares in the past two weeks.
