Shares of Aptech, which have given multibagger returns to investors in the last one year period, will trade ex-dividend tomorrow.

The company had earlier announced an interim dividend of Rs 6 per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2022-23.

The dividend payment is subject to the approval of members at the annual general meeting. The company has fixed June 1 as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders.

Shares of companies trade ex-dividend on the day of record date or a day before. When a company goes ex-dividend on a particular date, its stock does not carry the value of the next dividend payment. An ex-dividend date also dictates which shareholders are eligible to receive the dividend payment.

The shares of the company have more than doubled investors' wealth in the last one year period, rising 142%. So far this year, it has jumped by 65%. On Wednesday, the stock closed 1% lower at Rs 568 apiece on NSE.

Apart from the dividend, the company has also announced a bonus issue in the proportion of 2:5. For every five equity shares investors hold, they will get additional two bonus shares as proposed by the company.

Revenue from operations during the said period jumped multifold to Rs 137 crore from just Rs 38 crore in the corresponding period of previous year.
