MUMBAI: Shares of realty firm Unitech saw massive selling pressure today, falling over 17 per cent, amid fresh concerns over 2G spectrum scam case.

Unitech's scrip nosedived 17.14 per cent to Rs 21.75 on the BSE. In intra-day, it tanked 18.28 per cent to Rs 21.45.

At the NSE, the stock slumped 17.30 per cent to Rs 21.75. Following the sharp fall in the stock, the company's market value declined by Rs 1,180.22 crore to Rs 5,686.78 crore.

On the volume front, 157.92 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE, while over 12 crore shares were traded at the NSE during the day.

According to media reports, the CBI is investigating the allegation that Unitech illegally got spectrum in 2008 during A Raja's tenure as telecom minister.
