TVS Motor, Maruti rally on September sales figures

MUMBAI: Shares of TVS Motor Company and Maruti Suzuki surged higher in trade on the back of strong sales figures for the month of September even as the market remained rangebound.

Maruti Suzuki reported total sales of 1.04 lakh units, up 11.7 per cent, Y-o-Y. Domestic sales stood at 90,399 units, up 1.8 per cent, Y-o-Y while exports jumped 180.8 per cent Y-o-Y to 14,565 units.

TVS Motor Company reported total sales of 1.97 lakh units, up 16 per cent, Y-o-Y.

At 11:15 a.m.; TVS Motor Company was at Rs 39.05, up 6.11 per cent, on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 40.30 and a low of Rs 37.10 in trade today.

Maruti Suzuki was at Rs 1,400.75, up 3.15 per cent, on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 1,409.70 and a low of Rs 1,363.60 in trade today.
