Triveni Power Transmission lists on BSE, NSE following demerger from Triveni Engineering
Triveni Power Transmission Limited has listed on the BSE and NSE following its demerger from Triveni Engineering & Industries. The independent entity aims to sharpen its business focus and expand across industrial, marine and defence applications.

Triveni Power Transmission begins its journey as an independent listed company.
The demerger was carried out under a Composite Scheme of Arrangement approved by the National Company Law Tribunal. The scheme became effective on May 19, 2026, with April 1, 2026, designated as the appointed date for the demerger.
Under the scheme, eligible TEIL shareholders received one fully paid-up equity share of TPTL, with a face value of Rs 2, for every three fully paid-up equity shares of TEIL held as of the record date of July 22, 2026.
Tarun Sawhney, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TPTL, said the listing would allow the company to operate with a sharper business focus, enable more transparent performance evaluation and pursue independent growth. He added that the company would follow a distinct growth agenda, with a focus on capital allocation, technology, talent and capabilities to expand its presence across industrial, marine and defence applications.
The demerger separates the power transmission business into an independent listed entity, allowing TPTL to align its strategy, investment priorities and operating capabilities with the requirements of the business.
The company’s portfolio includes high-speed and niche low-speed gearboxes, aftermarket services, refurbishment, upgrades and lifecycle support for critical industrial applications. It serves global original equipment manufacturers, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, and industrial customers across sectors such as power generation, oil and gas, chemicals and fertilisers, steel, cement, sugar and distillery, marine and defence.
Rajiv Rajpal, CEO of TPTL, said the company would build on more than five decades of experience in power transmission engineering. Its focus, he added, would remain on delivering application-specific solutions, strengthening lifecycle support for its installed equipment base and expanding in high-value industrial and defence segments.
TPTL’s offerings span new equipment, retrofits, replacements, upgrades, refurbishment and long-term aftermarket services. The listing provides a separate platform for the power transmission business as it pursues its growth plans as an independent company.
