Trending stocks: Infosys shares down nearly 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Infosys Ltd. traded 0.67 per cent down in Friday's trade at 10:59AM (IST). Around 48,759 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 708.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 708.0 and Rs 702.6, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Infosys Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 847.4 and a 52-week low of Rs 511.1.

Total market cap of the Infosys Ltd. stood at Rs 299833.08 crore at the time of writing this report.


There have been no large cancellations overall except for the sectors where there is some impact and there has been no real impact on pricing, Salil Parekh, CEO, Infosys told ET Now.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 23267.0 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2020, up 0.76 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 23092.0 crore and up 8.02 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 21539.0 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 4321.0 crore, up 6.06 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Mar-2020, domestic institutional investors held 13.66 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 31.01 per cent and the promoters 13.15 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 18.07 and a price-to-book ratio of 4.54. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
