Trending stocks: DLF shares rise nearly 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of DLF Ltd. traded 0.74 per cent up in Thursday's trade at 10:41AM (IST). Around 165,198 shares changed hands on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 154.05 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 157.6 and Rs 152.75, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of DLF Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 266.65 and a 52-week low of Rs 114.5.

Total market cap of the DLF Ltd. stood at Rs 38627.24 crore at the time of writing this report.


DLF will announce its March quarter earnings today.


Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1341.87 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2019, down 21.78 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 1715.51 crore and down 39.54 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 2219.28 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 414.01 crore, up 23.53 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Mar-2020, DIIs held 1.62 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 18.33 per cent and the promoters 74.36 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 22.57 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.05. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
