NEW DELHI: Shares of HDFC Bank Ltd. traded 3.95 per cent up in Monday's trade at 09:58AM (IST). Around 908236 shares changed hands on the counter. The stock opened at Rs 1142.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1152.65 and Rs 1124.65, respectively, in the session so far.

The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1305.5 and a 52-week low of Rs 738.75.

The private lender's MD and CEO Aditya Puri has said that his preferred successor is an internal candidate who has spent 25 years at the lender. However, he did not name the candidate. The lender posted a nearly 20 per cent growth in standalone net profit at Rs 6,658.62 crore for the June quarter.
