Trending stocks: Coal India share price rises over 2%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Coal India traded 2.49 per cent up in Thursday 's trade at 10:52AM (IST).

Around 55862 shares changed hands on the counter. The stock opened at Rs 141.8 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 144.65 and Rs 140.4 , respectively, in the session so far.

The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 289.2 and a 52-week low of Rs 122.7 .


To liquidate a record 75 million tonnes of stock, Coal India will auction about 46 MT at reduced floor rates in the current quarter, as it moves to boost sales amid flagging demand due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown. Four Coal India subsidiaries have been tasked with the auctions.
