Trading in Vikas WSP to resume on Monday
Trading in shares of Vikas WSP Ltd will begin on the Bombay Stock Exchange from Monday after the company got a clean chit from Central Economic Intelligence Bureau and Securities and Exchange Board of India.
The company was suspended from trading in October 2001 after the two government agencies initiated an enquiry into company's financial statements.
Vikas WSP is a manufacturer of guar gum polymers and its derivatives. It has 100% EOU located in Sriganganagar in Rajasthan and Siwani in Haryana.
The company plans to start a guar derivative plant for hydroxypropylguar, carboxymethlhydroxypropylguar and cationic guar in Baroda.
The two products are used for fracturing of deeper and hotter oil & gas wells, whereas cationic guar is used in personal care products like bar soaps, shampoos, lotions, conditioners and also for speciality paper making.
The unit will commence production in 2010-11 and have a turnover of Rs 400-450 crore once it becomes fully operational.
The company reported net profit of Rs 41.97 crore and sales of Rs 239.63 crore in 2006-07 (Apr-Mar). The company has projected a turnover of Rs 1200-1250 crore in 2010-11.
