NEW DELHI: Benchmark Nifty and Sensex ended Thursday's session in the negative territory on profit-booking mainly in realty, PSU bank, metal and FMCG stocks.

Benchmark Nifty50 index closed 19 points lower at 10,122, while the 30-share Sensex was 30 points down at 32,370 at the end of today's session.

In the Nifty50 index, Zee Entertainment, GAIL, ACC, Eicher Motors, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bank of Baroda and HCL Technologies settled as the top losers.

On the contrary, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Cipla, Lupin, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharmaceutical and Tata Consultancy Services stood as top gainers of the index.

Among the sectors, Nifty Pharma index settled 3.33 per cent up at 9,630, with shares of Dr Reddy's Lab gaining up to 8 per cent.

Nifty Realty index cracked up to 2 per cent. The index settled 1.52 per cent down at 285, with shares of Indiabulls Real Estate sinking over 6 per cent.

Overall, 56 stocks such as Avanti Feeds, Bombay Dyeing, Capri Global Capital, Damodar Industries, Goa Carbon, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Indraprastha Gas, South Indian Bank, Tata Steel, Universal Cables and Yes Bank hit fresh 52-week highs today.

On the contrary, Advanced Enzyme Technologies, Dishman Carbogen Amcis, Lasa Supergenerics, Optiemus Infracom, Stampede Capital and newly listed Dixon Technologies (India) were among the 15 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.
