Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd: Closed 3.18% lower at Rs 1181.35
M&M Ltd struggled in trade and was among the top loser on both BSE Sensex and 50-share Nifty index. Media reports suggested that large block deals were executed in the stock on bourses which pulled the stock lower. The stock rallied as much as 3.6 per cent in trade, after the private sector bank informed BSE that the shareholders of the Bank at the Annual General Meeting have approved increase in ceiling limit for investment by Securities and Exchange Board of India approved Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/ sub-accounts of FIIs, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) and Qualified Foreign Investors (QFIs) in the equity share capital of the Bank, through primary or secondary route to 40%.
