Top 20 stocks from experts for choppy markets

MUMBAI: Markets pared intraday gains and slipped in the red as traders booked profits after the Sensex faced resistance above 20,000 mark. Gains in technology and auto were offset by losses in pharmaceuticals, metals and oil & gas sector stocks.

At 12:20 p.m., the 30-share index was at 19,969.64, down 20.54 points or 0.10 per cent. It touched a high of 20,058.48 and a low of 19,941.35 in trade today.

The Nifty was at 6,072.50, up 3.20 points or 0.05 per cent. It touched a high of 6,084.70 and a low of 6,053.70 in trade today.

The BSE Midcap Index was up 0.03 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index was 0.11 per cent higher.
