The 300-hour course has been split into a 160-hour classroom contact programme, underpinned by a 140-hour online curriculum.
TimesPro, an educational initiative of the Times Group, has partnered Moody’s Analytics to launch a post-graduate diploma programme in wealth management for students seeking a career in financial advisory. The programme will initially be launched in five centres across India in January 2020, Anish Srikrishna, president of TimesPro, said on Wednesday. The 300-hour course has been split into a 160-hour classroom contact programme, underpinned by a 140-hour online curriculum. “The course has been specifically designed to train the students not just in the technical aspects of the profession, but also to instil an element of empathy in them for a deeper understanding of the clients’ lifecycle needs,” Srikrishna said.

On successful completion of the course, students would get accreditation as a Certified International Wealth Management (CIWM) professional, an accreditation approved by capital-markets regulator Sebi.

Fees for the five-month-long programme have been set at ₹1.5 lakh.
