These stocks zoomed over 15% defying bearish market stance

NEW DELHI: Shares of McDowell Holdings (19.95 per cent), Nagreeka Export (19.67 per cent), Inventure Growth & Securities (18.72 per cent), Saksoft (18.05 per cent), TTK Healthcare (16.06 per cent) and Nagreeka Capital (15 per cent) zoomed over 15 per cent on NSE in afternoon trade on Wednesday, defying the bearish market sentiment.

However, shares of Uttam Value Steels (down 10 per cent), Shekhawati Poly-Yarn (down 10 per cent), Bhandari Hosiery (down 9.52 per cent), STC India (down 9.41 per cent) and Samtel Color (down 9.09 per cent) cracked up to 10 per cent on NSE.

Equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex were trading flat. The Nifty50 index was 7 points down at 10,343, while the BSE Sensex was 6 points down at 33,365 around 2 pm (IST).

Nifty Metal, auto, PSU bank, media and realty indices were in the red on NSE.

Nifty Metal index, with a loss of over 1 per cent, was the top loser among sectoral indices, with shares of Vedanta, Hindustan Copper and NALCO as the top drags on the index.

In the Nifty50 pack, 25 stocks were trading in the green, while 25 stocks were in the red.

Shares of Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, Cipla, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma and IndusInd Bank were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Bharti Airtel, Vedanta, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, YES Bank, Tata Motors and Reliance Industries were among the top losers.
