These stocks surged over 15% in Friday’s trade

NEW DELHI: With decent strides in the past few days, Sensex has again come close to reclaiming the 28,000 level.

On Friday, domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, were trading in green on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters amid mixed global cues.

These are the stocks that surged more than 15 per cent on the day.

Stocks such as Poddar Pigments (16.58 per cent), Metkore Alloys (19.64 per cent), SRS Ltd (19.69 per cent), Visesh Infotec (25.00 per cent), Rasoya Proteins (33.33 per cent) were trading over 15 per cent higher around 12.30 pm (IST).

The 30-share Sensex was trading 174.28 points up at 27882.42 on Friday around the same time, while the 50-share Nifty index was up 45.25 points at 8648.0.

In the Nifty 50 index, 36 stocks were trading in green, while 15 stocks were trading in red.

Stocks such as Poddar Pigments, Adani Enterpr., Remsons Ind, Pitti Lamination, Goldstone Infra hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade.

However, Raj Rayon, High Ground Ent, Birla Cotsyn, FCS Software, Gammon Infra touched their new 52-week low in trade.
