These stocks surged over 10% even as broader markets remained bearish

NEW DELHI: Zodiac JRD MKJ (up 20 per cent), ECE Industries (up 19.99 per cent), Pudumjee Paper Products (up 12.13 per cent), Kothari Petrochemicals (up 12.08 per cent), PC Jeweller (up 11.07 per cent) and Celestial Biolabs (up 10.86 per cent) clocked up gains of over 10 per cent on NSE on Thursday even as broader markets remained subdued.

Key equity indices closed in the red on account of strong selling in IT, capital goods, auto and FMCG stocks amid weak global cues as tariff woes between the US and China returned, ahead of trade talks between the two countries.

The BSE Sensex slipped 73 points, or 0.21 per cent, to stop at 35,103, while the Nifty50 index fell 38 points or 0.36 per cent to end the day at 10,680.


In the Nifty index, 17 stocks closed the day in the green, while 33 in the red.

Shares of Zodiac JRD MKJ, ECE Industries, Cyient, Indiabulls Ventures, Manappuram Finance, Pidilite Industries and Ujjivan Financial Services featured among those 23 stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE.
