NEW DELHI: The benchmark equity index BSE Sensex was trading 12.22 points down at 27,870.24 in the afternoon trade on Monday following weak global cues.

However, shares of Birla Cotsyn (down 50 per cent), KSS (down 25 per cent), Uttam Value Stl (down 10 per cent), Sunflag Iron (down 9.32 per cent), Shree Rama News (down 7.49 per cent), REI Six Retail (down 7.14 per cent), Goldstone Tech (down 6.04 per cent), Vardhman Special (down 5.86 per cent), STL Global (down 5.66 per cent), Hindustan Motor (down 5.43 per cent) were down by over 5 per cent around 12.50 pm on January 30.

In the Nifty pack, 17 stocks were trading in green, while 34 stocks in red.

The Nifty index was down 6.05 points at 8635.2.

On the NSE, Birla Cotsyn, Raj Rayon, High Ground Ent, Gammon Infra, Viji Finance, FCS Software, Rasoya Proteins hit their fresh 52-week low, while National Fert, Jindal Stainles, LT Foods, NBI Industrial Finance Company Ltd., Delta Magnets, Manaksia Industries Ltd., North Eastern, Bharat Wire Ropes Ltd., BEL, Sterlite Tech touched their fresh 52-week high in today’s trade.
