NEW DELHI: Shares of Reliance Communications (down 12.93 per cent), Nakoda (down 12.50 per cent), Fedders Electric and Engineering (down 10.75 per cent) and Reliance Capital (down 10.20 per cent) plunged over 10 per cent on NSE on Wednesday.

On the other hand, shares of Responsive Industries (down 9.97 per cent), Nagreeka Export (down 9.67 per cent), Landmark Prop (down 9.48 per cent) and Reliance Infra (down 9.03 per cent) cracked up to 10 per cent.

Equity market benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex extended losses for the third consecutive session on Wednesday.

The Nifty50 index closed 69 points down at 10,118, while the BSE Sensex ended Wednesday's session 181 points down at 32,760.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Asian Paints, Ambuja Cements, Tech Mahindra, Eicher Motors and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation remained the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Bharti Infratel, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Vedanta, UPL, Hindalco, Indiabulls Housing Finance and HCL Technologies stood among the losers.

Among the 51 stocks in the Nifty50 stocks, 13 settled in the green, while 37 in the red on Wednesday.
