NEW DELHI: Shares of Thangamayil Jewellery, Tide Water Oil (India), Tata Elxsi, IndusInd Bank and SKF India ended the day in red on turning ex-dividend on Tuesday.

Thangamayil Jewellery slipped 0.64 per cent as the stock turned ex-dividend on Monday for dividend of Rs 2 per share for the year ended March 31, 2017.

Tide Water Oil (India) was trading 1.50 per cent down at Rs 6,209.95 after shares of the company turned ex-dividend for final dividend of Rs 100 per share for FY17. The stock eventually closed at Rs 6,200, down 1.58 per cent.

Ex-dividend date is the date on or after which a security is traded without a previously declared dividend.

Shares of Tata Elxsi also slipped over 1 per cent after the stock turned ex-dividend for dividend of Rs 16 per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2017. Before turning ex-dividend, the stock offered a dividend yield of 0.94 per cent based on the closing price of Rs 1,708.95 on BSE on Monday.

IndusInd Bank lost 0.54 per cent to Rs 1,572.95. Shares of the lender turned ex-dividend for dividend of Rs 6 per share.

SKF India fell 2.71 per cent to close at at Rs 1544.85. Shares of the company turned ex-dividend for dividend of Rs 10 per share for the year ended March 31, 2017.
