These 20 stocks surged over 5% on Thursday

The BSE Sensex was trading 51 points down at 30,082 in the afternoon deals on Thursday following weak global cues.

Shares of Orient Bell (up 6.03 per cent), Vinati Organics (up 6.05 per cent), JBF Industries (up 6.30 per cent), Vardhman Special (up 6.41 per cent), Graphite India (up 6.70 per cent), Chromatic India (up 6.90 per cent), Sasken Comm (up 6.93 per cent), Pritish Nandy (up 7.23 per cent), Bhandari Hosiery (up 7.41 per cent), Almondz Global (up 7.75 per cent), TV Vision (up 8.08 per cent), Revathi Equip (up 8.45 per cent), Pearl Global (up 8.45 per cent), Supreme Petro (up 8.73 per cent), Uttam Value Stl (up 9.09 per cent) were trading over 5 per cent higher in the afternoon trade.

In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as YES Bank (up 2.30 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.82 per cent), PowerGrid (up 1.65 per cent), Kotak Bank (up 1.42 per cent), HCL Tech (up 1.32 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.27 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.11 per cent), Infosys (up 0.89 per cent), Ambuja Cements (up 0.71 per cent), Indian Oil Corp (up 0.63 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 0.61 per cent), Tata Power (up 0.41 per cent), TCS (up 0.37 per cent), GAIL (up 0.36 per cent) and NTPC (up 0.30 per cent) were trading in green.

The Nifty 50 index was trading 6.85 points down at 9,345. Among the 51 stocks in the index, 24 were trading in green, while 27 were trading in red.
