At least 15 such high-risk PMS strategies have given returns in the range of 40-73% on a 1-year basis, showed data by investment analytics provider Finalyca.
The top ones include Samvitti Capital’s Active Alpha Multicap, Asit C Mehta’s Ace Multicap, Ambit Capital’s Alpha Growth, Carnelian Capital’s Shift strategy and InCred Capital’s Small & Midcap PMS.
Samvitti Active Alpha Multicap: This high-risk equity strategy of Samvitti Capital has given the best returns in a year. The strategy has given 73% returns on a 1-year basis, against the S&P BSE 500 index, which has given about 11% returns in the same period. This strategy has maximum exposure to the capital goods sector with a weight of 46.3%, followed by automobiles and auto components at 11.85%, and financial services at 10.7%.
InvestSavvy Alpha Fund: This high-risk equity strategy of InvestSavvy Portfolio Management has given around 62% returns in a year, against the 11% returns by BSE 500 index. This strategy has maximum exposure to the financial services sector with a weightage of 20.8%, followed by capital goods at around 15%, and automobile and auto components at 14.7%.
Ambit Alpha Growth: This over 2-year old equity strategy of Ambit Capital has given 53% returns in 1 year, compared to the 10% returns by Nifty 50 index. This strategy has maximum exposure to the capital goods sector, with a weight of around 42%, followed by financial services at 23%.
Equitree Emerging Opportunities: This fund of Equitree Capital Advisors has given 48% returns on a 1-year basis compared to the 11% returns by BSE 500 index. This strategy has the maximum exposure to the capital goods sector with a weight of 23.4%, followed by automobiles at 18.8%, and textiles at 14.3%.
Green Portfolio Super 30 Dynamic: This equity strategy of Green Portfolio PMS has given 43% returns in 1 year, compared to the 11 returns by BSE 500 index. This strategy has maximum exposure to the healthcare sector with a weight of around 15%. Over the last two years, this strategy has significantly reduced exposure towards the chemicals sector. As of August its exposure was just 8% compared to 32% in September 2021.
