Thejo Engineering may be first to list on NSE’s SME platform

The Chennai-based engineering services company is likely to be the first to list on NSE’s exclusive platform for small and medium enterprises (SME).

MUMBAI: A Chennai-based engineering services company is likely to be the first to list on NSE’s exclusive platform for small and medium enterprises (SME). Thejo Engineering, which plans to raise close to Rs 20 crore through an initial public offer, may launch the issue in the second week of July.

The company had completed the regulatory requirements a couple of months ago but has been waiting for market conditions to improve. It is currently in the process of taking commitments from high net worth individuals and institutional investors and is also in the process of appointing market makers, said sources familiar with the development. There are two companies already listed on BSE’s SME platform— BCB Finance and Monarch Healthcare.
