Tezpore Tea to sell Merryview estate to Dalmia; share up 10%

Shares of Tezpore Tea Ltd surged nearly 10 per cent Friday, on news of the company entering into an agreement with Dalmia Tea Plantation & Industries for selling its Merryview Tea Estate.

MUMBAI: Shares of Tezpore Tea Ltd surged nearly 10 per cent Friday, on news of the company entering into an agreement with Dalmia Tea Plantation & Industries for selling its Merryview Tea Estate. The estate is spread over 479.64 hectares.

Tezpore, an associate company of Dhunseri Tea & Industries, has three tea estates located in Assam having 1343.40 hectares of land under tea plantation with a crop of 29.64 lakh kg.
