Tea cos shares up on expected rise in tea prices

MUMBAI: Shares of tea producers were in the limelight Tuesday on expectation of rise in tea prices in 2008. Reports suggest world tea prices are likely to hit an all-time high later this year as strife in Kenya continues to affect the market. At 11:29 am, shares of Tata Tea rose 4.09 per cent, Jayshree Tea & Industries advanced 17.52 per cent, Harrisons Malayalam surged 16.78 per cent, McLeod Russell climbed 19.98 per cent.
