TCS shares fall as firm looks to settle US discrimination suits

NEW DELHI: Shares of IT heavyweight Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) fell over 1 per cent in morning trade on Wednesday.

Media reports suggested that the company is in advanced talks to settle discrimination suits filed by some former employees in the US.

As per an ET report, lawyers representing TCS, as well as those filing the suit, have made a joint filing with the US District Court, Northern District of California, stating that they are in talks for a settlement.


If successful, this could resolve three pending cases and settle a slew of other charges made against the company.

Shares of the company closed 2.12 per cent down at Rs 2,043.80 on BSE.
