Tata Power Company Ltd. shares decline 0.2% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the Tata Power Company Ltd. traded at Rs 49.9 on BSE at 01:53PM (IST) on Thursday, down 0.2 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 27.0 and a high of Rs 68.8.

Earlier, the stock saw a gap up opening in the morning.


A total of 522,932 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 01:53PM (IST).

The stock of Tata Power Company Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 13496.82 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 13.46, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 0.62. Return on equity (ROE) was at 5.19 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 333 stocks traded in the green, while 167 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 37.22 per cent in the Tata Power Company Ltd. as of 30-Jun-2020 while foreign and domestic institutional investors owned 12.89 per cent and 14.26 per cent, respectively.
