Mumbai: Gopal Agrawal, Chief Investment Officer (Equities) at Tata Mutual Fund has put in his papers, thirteen months after he joined the firm in April 2017.

At Tata MF, Gopal lead the fund management and equity research team. Agrawal confirmed the development, but refused to comment on his future plans. Industry insiders believe he is likely to join another asset management company (AMC). Agrawal played an instrumental role in turning around Mirae Asset Management where he worked for 9.5 years from October 2007 to March 2017. Prior to Mirae, he has worked at SBI Mutual Fund, UTI Securities, IDBI Capital, Kotak Securities and HDFC Securites as an equity analyst.

Earlier in January 2018, Tata Mutual Fund had appointed Prathit Bhobe as MD and CEO of Tata Mutual Fund after R Ganesh, the earlier CEO moved out in July 2017.
