NEW DELHI: Shares of auto major Tata Motors slipped on Thursday after reports said that workers at the company’s Jamshedpur plant went on an agitation against alleged non-payment of revised wages.

“Over 4,000 temporary workers today started an agitation at Tata Motors' Jamshedpur plant against alleged non-payment of revised wages,” PTI had reported on Wednesday.

During the day, shares of the company hit a low of Rs 376.10 and a high of Rs 384.80.

The stock finally ended the day at Rs 378.90, down by 1.17 per cent or Rs 4.50.

A total of 6.55 lakh shares of the company exchanged hands on Thursday against a two-week average of 3.72 lakh shares.
