Tata Chemcials largest gainer among A group stocks

MUMBAI: Tata Chemicals was the largest gainer among A group stocks Friday, positing a gain of 13 per cent to Rs 150 on good Q2 results.

The company���s consolidated sales jumped almost 2.5 times to Rs 4654 crore in the quarter ended Sep 30, 2008 and net profit leaped 33 per cent to Rs 278 crore, thanks to firm soda ash prices and strong performance in its fertiliser business.
