Taiwan stocks fall tracking overseas cues
Taiwan stocks fell more than 1 per cent on Monday, following lacklustre performance in overseas markets.

The electronics subindex was down 1 per cent, financials were lower 0.7 per cent, and the plastics subindex dropped 1.12 per cent. The economics ministry is set to release export data for August after market hours on Monday.
A poll estimates export orders likely rose 7.4 per cent last month from a year earlier, higher than July's 5.7 per cent pace.
Earlier in the day, Taiwan's statistics agency said the jobless rate in August fell slightly from the previous month. The Taiwan dollar was up T$0.029 at T$30.229 to the US dollar.
