Suzlon Energy up 5% on order win

Suzlon Energy has entered into an agreement with AGL Energy for supply of 54 units of Suzlon's S88-2.1 MW wind turbine generators translating to 113.4 MW capacity in Australia in 2009.

MUMBAI: Suzlon Energy has entered into an agreement with AGL Energy for supply of 54 units of Suzlon's S88-2.1 MW wind turbine generators translating to 113.4 MW capacity in Australia in 2009. The agreement was entered into by Suzlon Energy Australia, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Wednesday on BSE, the Suzlon stock was trading at Rs 45.4, up about 5% from the previous close.

Suzlon Energy recently informed BSE that the company has an order book of Rs 10,387 crores comprising of Rs 533 crores of domestic orders and Rs 9,854 crores of export orders. Additionally, the order book position for component business is Rs 1,080 crores. It further informed that the order book does not include the orders of Hansen and REpower.
