The IPO, which was open for subscription between August 18 and August 20, received a blockbuster response from investors, with the issue subscribed 105.81 times overall. The retail portion was subscribed 56.60 times, while the QIB segment saw 123.52 times subscription. The NII category led the charge, with demand soaring to 197.04 times the shares on offer.
The Rs 282.14-crore IPO comprised a fresh issue of 48 lakh shares worth Rs 172.80 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 30 lakh shares amounting to Rs 109.34 crore.
Sunshine Pictures had set the IPO price band at Rs 342–360 per share.
GYR Capital Advisors Pvt. Ltd. served as the book-running lead manager for the issue, while Bigshare Services Pvt. Ltd. acted as the registrar.
Financial Performance
Sunshine Pictures posted a mixed performance in FY26, with revenue declining but profitability improving. Total income fell 28% to Rs 76.27 crore, from Rs 105.80 crore in FY25, while PAT rose 16% to Rs 40.02 crore, compared with Rs 34.46 crore a year earlier.About Sunshine Pictures
Incorporated in 2007, Sunshine Pictures is a content production company engaged in the creation, production, marketing and distribution of films, television shows and web series. It has been associated with films such as Force, Commando, Holiday, Force 2, Commando 2 and The Kerala Story.The company has produced 10 commercial films, along with web series, TV serials and a short film. Its current pipeline includes two films co-produced with Jio Studios and a web series for Doordarshan.
Sunshine Pictures is also expanding its digital presence through YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. As of June 30, 2026, it had 162,960 YouTube subscribers, 9.18 crore views and 104,500 followers across Instagram and Facebook. The company had 28 full-time employees as of the same date.
