Shares of Sun TV Network settled with a gain of nearly five per cent, after the company announced its partnership with video-on-demand services firm HOOQ.

MUMBAI: Shares of Sun TV Network today settled with a gain of nearly five per cent, after the company announced its partnership with video-on-demand services firm HOOQ.

The scrip of Sun TV opened at Rs 340 and gained 6.21 per cent to reach its intra-day high at Rs 346 on BSE. At the end of trading session, the stock was quoting at Rs 341.20, up 4.74 per cent from the previous close.

On the NSE, the company's scrip opened at Rs 329 and surged 6.21 per cent to touch its day high of Rs 345.90.

Finally, the stock settled at Rs 341, up 4.71 per cent from the previous close.

In a regulatory filing yesterday, Sun TV announced that it has entered into a partnership with HOOQ for video-on-demand services. The announcement was made after the market hours on Wednesday.

HOOQ is a joint venture of SingTel, Sony Pictures Television and Warner Bros.
