Sun TV management says unaware of MHA communication on security clearances
Sun TV Network has not received any verbal or written communication from Home Ministry on the issue of security clearances, says SL Narayanan.

NEW DELHI: Sun TV Network has not received any verbal or written communication from the ministry of Home Affairs on the issue of security clearances, says SL Narayanan, Group CFO, Sun Group.
"We are not privy to any discussions regarding security clearance to channels. We have not received any verbal or written communication from MHA," said Sun TV management in an interview to ET Now.
Most channels have got security clearances till 2021 and 2023, Narayanan added.
He went on to say the company has never committed any breach of the law. The management pleaded the government that the company should not get condemned until matters are fully heard.
The group has taken interim relief from the Madras High Court for the security clearance of radio channels, Narayanan informed.
Meanwhile, Sun TV stock slipped as much as 27.59 per cent on the BSE to hit its intraday low of Rs 258.
