NEW DELHI: Shares of Sun Pharma surged over 5 per cent after the phar ginat received USFDA's nod for distribution of its generic Gleevec drug in the US markets. The company said it will begin the introduction of the drug by February 1.

In reaction to the development, the scrip surged 6.46 per cent to hit day's high of Rs 773 on the BSE. The volumes were at three times the stock's 5-day moving average.
