Sun Pharma settles Exelon patent case with Novartis

Sun Pharmaceuticals will now be selling generic version of Exelon in the US after Novartis dropped patent infringement lawsuit against it over the drug.

MUMBAI: Sun Pharmaceuticals will now be selling generic version of Exelon in the US after Novartis dropped patent infringement lawsuit against it over the drug.

Under the terms of the settlement agreement, the company will not market generic drug in the US until sometime prior to the expiration of the patents covering Exelon.

Earlier, USFDA had granted final approval for the Sun Pharmaceutical's Abbreviated New Drug Application to market its generic Exelon.

At 12:36 pm, Sun Pharmaceutical shares were up 0.38 per cent at Rs 1,112 on BSE.
