Subros climbs 4% as firm resumes supplies to Maruti Suzuki
NEW DELHI: Shares of Subros climbed 4 per cent in Monday’s trade after the company informed BSE that it had resumed supplies to automaker Maruti Suzuki.

The component maker had halted production at its Manesar plant last month after a fire. The company said it had resumed full supplies to Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) from the company's other facilities in Noida, Pune and Chennai.

The stock rose 3.91 per cent to hit a high of Rs 94.20 on BSE.

"The company is working on a fast-track basis to rebuild the Manesar facilities in order to commence production in a phased manner," it told BSE in a regulatory filing.

On May 29, a major fire broke at the Manesar plant of Subros, and it took more than three hours to douse it. There was no report of casualty, PTI reported.

Due to this, Maruti advanced its biannual weekly maintenance closure to offset the impact on production.
