MUMBAI: Naveen Jindal-led Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) and Australian coal miner Rocklands Richfield (RCI) plan to form a 50:50 joint venture company to develop a coal-brick project at Raigarh in Chhattisgarh.
Software exporter Patni Computer Systems on Tuesday said it won a five-year IT and back-office contract potentially worth around $200 million from US-based health insurance provider Universal American.
The downstream regulator has fixed a higher gas transportation tariffs for two pipelines owned by Gail India and Reliance Gas Transmission & Infrastructure without public consultations and with undue haste some members of its board have alleged. Credit rating agency CARE estimates this tariff structure will help Reliance Gas Transmission mop a revenue of about Rs 5,400 crore in 2010-11.
Tata Consultancy Services, which is implementing the e-passport project, has been shortlisted for another tender by the ministry of overseas Indian affairs, along with rivals Wipro and Spanco. However, the validity of its financial bid is being challenged by Spanco, which has alleged that it is not according to the instructions specified in the tender document.
