Seasoned investor Porinju Veliyath made some interesting rejig in the portfolio of his PMS service Equity Intelligence India. Kerala-based Veliyath is the founder of Equity Intelligence India and is widely followed by retail investors. Porinju singalled his exit from Somany Home Innovation. At the end of December 2021 quarter, he owned 11.81 lakh equity shares or 1.63 per cent stake in the consumer appliance firm. His name was missing from key shareholders of the company at the end of March 2022 quarter. The scrip has gained over 40 per cent in the last one year.

Veliyath's Equity Intelligence sold 80,000 shares of Shalimar Paints to trim its stake to 11.20 lakh shares or 1.55 per cent. He owned 12 lakh equity shares or 2.21 by the end of December 2021 quarter. The scrip has surged more than 75 per cent in the last one year.

Porinju picked up another 32,000 shares of the Pune-based Indian Seamless Group Company. He owned 3 lakh shares or 1.2 per cent stake in the company at the end of March 31, 2022. His stake in the company is worth Rs 4.4 crore. The counter has rallied more than 400 per cent in the last one year.

Porinju's fund bought 25,000 equity shares of Kaya during January-March 2022 period to increase his stake to 2,00,000 shares or 1.53 per cent from 1,75,000 shares or 1.34 per cent in the previous quarter, which is worth about Rs 7.6 crore. The skincare, haircare and bodycare treatment player has rallied 32 per cent in the last one year.

Porinju's Equity Intelligence India bought 1,47,600 equity shares or 1.38 per cent stake in Thejo Engineering. The investment is worth Rs 17.7 crore. Even seasoned investor Mukul Agrawal owns 1.7 per cent stake in the Chennai- based conveyor belt splicing firm. The scrip has surged about 100 per cent in the last one year.
