Stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs and lows in today’s trade

NEW DELHI: The broader market traded in a narrow range near the flat line on Monday but there were numerous stocks that hit their fresh 52-week highs or lows during the day.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 7.45 points down at 8,633.80 in the afternoon trade on Monday following weak global cues.

Shares of National Fert, Jindal Stainles, LT Foods, Delta Magnets, Manaksia Industries Ltd., North Eastern, Bharat Wire Ropes Ltd., BEL, Sterlite Tech, Technocraft Ind hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE during the day.

However, stocks such as Birla Cotsyn, Redington, Viji Finance, SE Power, Kamat Hotels, Puravankara Prj, Lakshmi Finance, NBI Industrial Finance Company Ltd., Raj Rayon, Sreeleather touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 17 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 32 were trading in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel, Grasim Inds., Sun Pharma, RIL, Dr Reddys Labs, Bank of Baroda, Larsen & Toubro, Tech Mahindra and PowerGrid were among top gainers, while Bharti Infratel, Aurobindo Pharm, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Wipro and TCS were among major losers in the index.

The BSE Sensex was down 8 points at 27,874.46 around 12.45 pm (IST).

Traders were seen piling up position in power, service, telecommunications, equipments, electronics, shipping, petrochemicals, leather and gems and jewellery sectors, while selling were visible in packaging, iron and steel, rubber, engineering, auto, textiles sectors.
