Stocks in news: Tata Motors, Mphasis, RIL, Cairn, Videocon
The Indian markets are likely to have a subdued opening after a sharp rally in previous session and also due to lack of cues from global peers.

Following stocks are likely to be in action in trade today based on following news flow:
Tata Motors: Its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover is planning new manufacturing facility in Brazil. It will invest £240 million in Brazil plant having capacity of 24000 units per year. The first vehicle from Brazil plant is expected in 2016.
Mphasis: It reported a net profit of Rs 190.2 crore for the quarter ended September against Rs 192.6 crore in previous quarter. Income from operations increased to Rs 1594 crore from Rs 1539.8 crore, a quarter ago.
Jet Airways: SEBI may take up open offer issue for Jet's shareholders. The move follows CCI comment that Etihad enjoys joint control over Jet. The CCI's observations are significant as they are exactly opposite of SEBI.
Reliance Industries: The company said that the natural gas production from its eastern offshore KG-D6 block has slipped further to about 12 (rpt) 12 million standard cubic meters per day.
According to reports, the output of gas from (KG) D6 block could stagnate at levels of 10 mmscmd (million metric standard cubic metres per day) for the next five years.
Cairn India: Around two-third of Cairn India's Barmer block, which has been relinquished, is likely to be auctioned in Nelp 10.
Videocon Industries: The Bombay High Court has asked Venugopal Dhoot-promoted Videocon Industries to pay Italian Bank Intesa Sanpaolo SPA, its dues of about Euro 38 million (over Rs 260 crore) by January 27, failing which, the group will face winding up proceedings.
Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto: the two-wheeler companies are likely to be in action after CLSA upgraded Hero Moto to 'outperform' from 'sell' and Bajaj Auto to 'underperform' from 'sell'.
