India's leading Life Insurance Corp (LIC) on Thursday reported 23% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its standalone net profit at Rs 13,492 crore in the first quarter, compared with Rs 10,986 crore a year ago. Net Premium Income in the reporting period increased 7% YoY to Rs 1.27 lakh crore.

Trent
Trent on Thursday reported 21% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 519 crore in the first quarter. The same stood at Rs 430 crore in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations in the reporting period increased 18% YoY to Rs 5,755 crore.
PNB Housing
PNB Housing Finance expects its newly launched micro-housing loan business to reach around Rs 100 crore by the end of the current financial year as it expands deeper into the affordable housing segment, a top official said on Thursday.

India's AWL Agri Business has built up inventories of imported edible oils over the past two months, adopting a strategy similar to the one it used during Covid to guard against supply snarls from geopolitical conflicts, its CEO told Reuters.
