Markets witnessed a sharp sell-off on Monday, the monthly expiry day, with the Nifty closing near the day's lower band around 22,331 levels. With the onset of the new series, analysts say it will be crucial to watch whether the index holds its long-term moving average, i.e., the 200-week EMA, placed around the 21,900 mark.

Sammaan Capital
Sammaan Capital announced on Tuesday that it has become an IHC Group Company following a preferential allotment of equity shares and warrants to the Abu Dhabi-based company. Sammaan Capital received Rs 5,652 crore as part of the initial tranche of the stake acquisition.

Utkarsh Small Finance Bank said it has completed selling bad loans of Rs 1491 crore to asset reconstruction companies. The sale was done for a total consideration of Rs 195 crore, which is merely 13% of the outstanding pool sold.

Anil Agarwal's Vedanta Ltd has told the Supreme Court that its tweaked bid for the bankrupt Jaiprakash Associates Ltd was rejected despite being better than Adani Group's offer. In its petition challenging the lenders' decision to accept Adani's takeover offer, Vedanta contended that its addendum bid is about Rs 3,400 crore higher in gross value terms and roughly Rs 500 crore more in net present value compared to the Adani Group's offer.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) on Tuesday reported its largest-ever annual turnover of Rs 6,400 crore (provisional and unaudited) in FY26, up from Rs 5,076 crore in FY25. The shipyard also declared an interim dividend of 129%, compared with 89.5% last year.

Piramal Finance
Piramal Finance's overall assets under management have crossed Rs 1 lakh crore and the non-bank lender is keen to acquire a microfinance institution to power the next stage of growth, a top official has said. The company is retaining its target to increase the AUM to Rs 1.5 lakh crore by the end of March 2028, managing director and chief executive Jairam Sridharan said.

The move follows the departure of Pieter Elbers, who stepped down as CEO on March 11 after a turbulent period marked by mass flight cancellations that affected thousands of passengers.

Bharti Airtel
Bharti Airtel announced a $1 billion investment in its data centre arm Nxtra Data Limited, with funds coming from Alpha Wave Global, Carlyle Group and Anchorage Capital, along with the telecom giant's own contribution. Under the agreement, Alpha Wave Global will invest $435 million, Carlyle $240 million and Anchorage Capital $35 million, while the Sunil Mittal-founded company will invest the remaining amount.

Coforge
The company has now received approval from the Reserve Bank of India for Overseas Direct Investment exceeding $1 billion under Foreign Exchange Management (Overseas Investment) Rules. A few other regulatory approvals required in various jurisdictions are currently in their advanced stages of processing.
