Stock market update: These stocks touched 52-week highs on BSE

US tariffs on $34 billion in Chinese imports took effect as a deadline passed on Friday, Reuters reported.

NEW DELHI: Tata Consultancy Services, Advance Lifestyles, Atlas Jewellery India and Arihant Institute featured among stocks that touched 52-week highs on BSE during Friday's trade.

Shares of Chokhani Securities, Danlaw Technologies India, Garware Wall Ropes, Grandeur Products, Kartik Investments Trust, Punjab Chemicals & Crop Protection and Swaraj Automotives too joined the bandwagon of stocks that touched 52-week highs.

Equity markets were trading in the positive territory on fresh buying in energy, auto, capital goods, metal and oil & gas amid positive global cues.


Among Asian peers, only Taiwan TSEC 50 Index was marginally down. Nikkei, Hang Seng and Shanghai SE Composite Index were up 1 per cent.

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 55 points at 10,804, while the BSE Sensex was up 187 points at 35,761 around 11 am.

In the Sensex index, 24 stocks were advancing, while 7 were declining.
Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp were leading the Sensex index.
