Stock market update: These stocks are among the top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Vakrangee (up 4.96 per cent), Greaves Cotton (4.17 per cent), Indiabulls Ventures (4.06 per cent), Rain Industries (3.36 per cent) and Reliance Communications (3.42 per cent) were among the top gainers on BSE during the first half of Wednesday's trade.

Buying in energy, metal, bank, financial, telecom and auto stocks were keeping the equity benchmarks up.

Positive Asian cues also influenced the sentiment.


Barring FMCG, industrial, capital goods and oil & gas, all sectors were pocketing gains.

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 47 points at 10,757, while the BSE Sensex was up 191 points at 35,478 around 11:10 am.

In the Sensex index, 21 stocks were advancing, while 10 were declining.

In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks were in the green and 17 in the red.

Vedanta, Reliance Industries and Axis Bank were leading among the Sensex gainers.

On the contrary, Coal India, Wipro, ONGC and Larsen & Toubro were among the top laggards in the Sensex index.
