Stock market update: Sugar stocks slide; Dharani Sugars dips 8%

NEW DELHI: Most of the sugar stocks were trading in the red in Monday's trade.

Shares of Dharani Sugars & Chemicals (down 7.83 per cent), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals (down 6.46 per cent), EID Parry (down 3.03 per cent), Ugar Sugar Works (down 2.52 per cent), Indian Sucrose (down 2.46 per cent), Triveni Engineering & Industries (down 2.24 per cent) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries (down 1.70 per cent) were among the top losers.

While Kesar Enterprise (up 4.15 per cent), Ponni Sugars (Erode) (up 2.70 per cent) and Rana Sugars (up 1.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 125.50 points down at 11,955.35, while the 30share BSE Sensex was down 402.95 points at 40,767.17 at around 10:59 am.
