Stock market update: SmallCap stocks mixed; Gati surges 10%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a mixed note at 02:10PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Gufic BioSciences (up 12.75 per cent), Electrosteel Castings (up 11.73 per cent), Gati (up 10.28 per cent), Shably Ltd (up 9.56 per cent) and GFL Ltd (up 7.91 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Mangalam Organics Ltd (down 6.43 per cent), Brightcom Group (down 4.92 per cent), Alok Industries (down 4.86 per cent), Reliance Communications (down 4.81 per cent) and Indiamart Intermesh (down 4.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.1 per cent down at 14848.51 around 02:10PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 2.75 points at 11230.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 13.59 points at 37995.22.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, YES Bank, Tata Motors and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Persistent Sys, Adani Green Energy Ltd., MindTree, Strides Shasun and Hero MotoCorp hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Mehai Technology Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Benara Bearings & Pistons Ltd., Tranway Technologies Ltd., Aditri Industries Ltd., Shivansh Finserve Ltd., Pazel International Ltd. and Shri Niwas Leasing and Finance Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
